Español“El anillo del leal” de Begoña Pro – 1er capítulo
La escritora Begoña Pro ha publicado la primera parte de la saga La chanson de los Infanzones bajo el título El anillo del leal. La novela está ambientada en la Navarra de los siglos XII y XIII, narra la lucha de supervivencia y superación de dos jóvenes. El anillo del leal es la crónica de una amistad inquebrantable que el destino pondrá a prueba, el relato de la forja de dos caballeros y la historia de dos familias, Subiza y Almoravid, llena de lealtades, amores, traiciones, fracasos y logros.
La historia empieza así:
«Dáselo al rey»
Año de 1177
In this year [1177], also, Alphonso, king of Castille, and Sancho, king of Navarre, his uncle, after many and great battles fought between them, came to a settlement before the king of England, the father, on the disputes and claims that existed between them. Accordingly, there came into England, on behalf of the king of Castille and on behalf the king of Navarre, four chosen men whom they knew to be trustworthy persons, being sent to England to hear the decision of the court of the king of England, and to report the same to the above-named kings of Spain, namely, John, bishop of Tarragona, Peter de Areis, Gunter, a brother of the Temple, and Peter de Rinoso. There came also on behalf of Alphonso, king of Castille, Matthew, bishop of Palencia, count Gomez, Lobdiez, Gomez, the son of Garsias, Garsias, the son of Garsias, Peter, the son of Peter, and Gotteri Fernanz; and, on behalf of Sancho, king of Navarre, the bishop of Pampeluna, Garsias Bermer, Sancho, the son of Ramiro, Espagnol de Taissonal, Peter, the son of Ramiro, and Ascenar de Chalez. All these were sent to assert their claims, and to answer on behalf of their masters. There came also two knights of wonderful prowess and valor, with horses and warlike arms, one on behalf of the king of Castille and the other on behalf of the king of Navarre, to appeal to wager of battle, at the court of the king of England, if it should be deemed necessary.

Durante este año [1177], también, Alfonso, rey de Castilla, y Sancho, rey de Navarra, su tío, tras muchas y grandes discrepancias litigadas entre ellos, se dispusieron para llegar a un acuerdo delante del rey de Inglaterra, el padre, en las disputas y reclamaciones que existían entre ambos. En consecuencia, vinieron a Inglaterra, en nombre del rey de Castilla y en nombre del rey de Navarra, cuatro hombres elegidos dignos de su confianza, siendo enviados a Inglaterra para escuchar la decisión de la corte del rey de Inglaterra e informar de ello a los arriba mencionados reyes de España, siendo nombrados, Juan, obispo de Tarragona, Peter de Areis, Gunter, un hermano del Temple, y Peter de Rinoso. Vinieron también en nombre de Alfonso, rey de Castilla, Mateo, el obispo de Palencia, el conde Gomez, Lobdiez, Gómez, el hijo de Garsias, Garsias, el hijo de Garsias, Pedro, el hijo de Pedro y Gotteri Fernanz; y en nombre de Sancho, rey de Navarra, el obispo de Pamplona, Garsias Bermer, Sancho, el hijo de Ramiro, Espagnol de Taissonal, Pedro, el hijo de Ramiro y Ascenar de Chalez. Todos ellos fueron enviados para reivindicar sus reclamaciones y para contestar en nombre de sus señores. Vinieron también dos caballeros de tremenda habilidad y valor, con caballos y armas de guerra, uno en nombre del rey de Castilla y el otro en nombre del rey de Navarra para apelar a la batalla, en la corte del rey de Inglaterra, si esto se considerara necesario.
